This privacy policy describes how Export Finance Norway (Eksfin) processes the personal data of visitors to the company’s website, eksfin.no.

Eksfin is the data controller and processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Personal data means information or assessments that relate to an identified or identifiable individual. The website www.eksfin.no and its contents and organisation are fully and wholly owned by Eksfin, and the company retains all rights to this material.

Errors and omissions on Eksfin’s website

The material on the website may only be used for information purposes. The information on eksfin.no is not intended to be complete and will not always be updated and accurate. Errors may occur. The material on eksfin.no must not be used as a basis for investment decisions or be deemed to constitute an invitation to enter into a contract. Eksfin accepts no liability for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions on the website. Job applications

In order to improve Eksfin’s job application portal, we store the following information about each individual application: time of submission, type of application and application data. We also store technical data concerning the web browser, device, screen size, whether cookies are permitted or not and whether the user uses a touchscreen. All data is deleted within 14 days in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Newsletter

Visitors to our website can subscribe to Eksfin Norge AS’s newsletter. The newsletter contains news about the company, current areas we are working on and invitations to events for which Eksfin is the organiser or co-organiser. The newsletter is issued once a month. By subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to Eksfin Norge AS storing personal data in the eMarketeer system. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time.

Events and invitations

Eksfin arranges several events each year, both as sole organiser and co-organiser. If you enrol for an event via Eksfin, you will be invited to other events arranged by Eksfin for the next three years. Eksfin stores your personal data for this purpose. The legal basis for storing personal data is a balancing of interests in accordance with the GDPR.

Social media

Eksfin has company profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter in order to provide access to and be able to inform the general public about Eksfin Norge AS’s business, offers and services.

By liking Eksfin’s company profile on Facebook or LinkedIn, followers record information such as gender, age and geographical location. Followers on Twitter also record their name by clicking “like”. The legal basis for processing is therefore consent. Eksfin shares data processor responsibility for Page Insights with Facebook and LinkedIn respectively. Any questions regarding these services should be addressed to Facebook or LinkedIn.

Advertising tools

Eksfin uses Google Ads as a tool for advertising, mainly on Google. Google Ads’ marketing cookies are used to track visitors to the website. The purpose is to display adverts that are relevant and of interest to individual users and therefore more valuable for publishers and third-party advertisers. You can turn off advertising personalisation in Google’s advertising settings.

Eksfin shares information on visitors to eksfin.no with our service providers in order to develop, operate and optimise our website. Eksfin Norge AS enters into a data processor agreement with the service providers described above.

Right of access and right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data

You can ask to view which personal data is stored and processed and the security measures applicable to their use by e-mailing Eksfin’s Data Protection Officer at personvern@eksfin.no.

In addition, the data subject can request the rectification of personal data which is incorrect or incomplete or which we do not have the right to process.

The data subject also has the right to demand that incorrect or incomplete personal data be corrected, and to demand that the processing of personal data be restricted.

Eksfin will not process personal data for purposes other than that for which it was collected.

Deletion

The data subject may at any time request the deletion of their personal data.

Eksfin deletes personal data when there are no longer justifiable grounds for its storage. See the information above on the use of cookies on eksfin.no and the time period between registration and deletion.

Complaints

The data subject has the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if they believe that their data is being processed unlawfully.
