Together with Sparebanken Vest and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Eksfin has signed a loan agreement with Edda Wind which concerns a loan of 120 million Euros for the construction of three service ships for the offshore wind industry.

Norwegian equipment deliveries

Eksfin participates in the financing through a loan of 55 million Euros based on Norwegian design and equipment deliveries for the ships to be built. The first ship is expected to be delivered from the Spanish shipyard Astilleros Gondan in August this year, whereas the other ships are expected to be delivered in Q2 and Q3 2024.  Edda Wind develops, builds and operates vessels for the international offshore wind industry.

Entering the international offshore wind industry is a strategic priority for the Norwegian maritime industry, and for us at Eksfin. This loan agreement shows that we can offer competitive financing together with banks that secures large export contracts for Norwegian maritime equipment suppliers.
