“This has been a major recognition of our employees’ work, and it is very exciting that we finally won after being nominated three years in a row”, says Hege Kveen and Svein Kåre Giskegjerde in StormGeo. Head of the jury of the Export Award, John G. Bernander, says StormGeo represents a company that has truly made use of its opportunities. “StormGeo, which has an export share exceeding 80 percent, has shown profitability and success over time, and creates value in Norway through foreign markets”, says Bernander. This year’s jury, which also included Siri Hatlen and Gunn Wærstad, emphasized StormGeo’s impressive growth period, and is a good example of a company that has been able to change by being innovative along with the clients’ need.
Awarding Norwegian export companies
The Export Award was this year handed out by Kari Traa. Behind the award are GIEK, GIEK Kredittforsikring and Export Credit Norway. Around 80 companies were nominated for this year’s award, operating in various industries such as fishery, IT and electronics, maritime sector, oil and gas, and mainland industries.
