Eksfin’s financing solutions are available to exporters, their foreign buyers, companies with export-related income, and Norwegian banks. Foreign buyers of Norwegian capital goods and services can obtain long-term financing in order to select a Norwegian supplier, while Norwegian exporters can receive help in providing guarantees to their buyers and gain easier access to production loans. In addition, Eksfin can work with Norwegian banks to give Norwegian exporters and their subcontractors access to loans to invest in new fixed assets to increase production in Norway, as well as financing to establish production abroad.

  1. Environmental technology

    Eksfin has various solutions to offer exporters in environmental technology and green solutions, such as water purification, waste management, electric charging solutions, and other technologies that help to make society more sustainable. These solutions can include loans to an established foreign player, a start-up project, or a Norwegian-owned subsidiary that offers to lease its technology. Export financing is also an important source of long-term financing of public infrastructure investments, and Eksfin can provide loans to foreign countries.     In relation to ICT, the export contract must include a one-off investment in equipment or installation services whereby the buyer needs long-term financing with a repayment term of at least two years. Although Eksfin cannot finance the buyer’s pure operating costs, in our assessment of the transaction we will often place additional emphasis on export income in the form of licences, operation, and maintenance in respect of the Norwegian exporter. In addition, Eksfin can assist Norwegian exporters with financing in order to make capital investments to increase production in Norway or to establish production abroad, as well as provide production loans in connection with a contract. If a Norwegian exporter is asked to provide a guarantee in connection with a contract, such as an advance or contract guarantee, Eksfin has solutions for this as well.
