The vessel, which was deliverd by Vard Langsteen Shipyard, will start on a contract in the Gulf of Mexico in 2016. “Far Sentinel” is among the biggest and most advanced vessels in the company’s fleet. With an impressive length of 142 meters, two offshore cranes and a hangar that can hold two ROVs, the new ship is equipped to meet tough challenges. Export Credit Norway contributed with financing of the ship to Farstad Construction ASA, a subsidiary of Farstad Shipping ASA, one of Norway’s biggest offshore shipping companies. The loan has a maturity of 12 years and is guaranteed by GIEK, DNB and Swedbank.
