Kongsberg Norcontrol has concluded an agreement with the Gibraltar Port Authority for the delivery of a Vessel Traffic Management System for Gibraltar Port. The system will be of great benefit to the port, the Mediterranean region’s largest bunkering facility. “The government is proud to announce this important agreement, which underlines our commitment to safe navigation and environmental protection. The project represents an important investment in port infrastructure. Kongsberg Norcontrol will supply the port authority with one of the world’s most modern VTS systems, enabling it to monitor ship traffic in the busy waters around Gibraltar,” says Minister Paul Balban. The transaction will benefit from a GBP 1.8 million export loan from Export Credit Norway, with a repayment period of up to five years. Since the Gibraltar Port Authority is a public agency subordinate to the British authorities, GIEK will guarantee 100% of the loan.   About Kongsberg Norcontrol AS:
