Eltek is currently delivering electricity supply systems for 350 mobile telephone masts in Gabon. The purchaser, Energy Vision Ltd., is an operator of electricity supply equipment for mobile base stations in the African country. Energy Vision’s customer is the Indian mobile telephone company AIRTEL (Airtel Gabon), the country’s leading operator with a market share of 60%. Energy Vision’s aim is to become a leading provider of electricity supply solutions for telecommunication base stations in emerging markets, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. The loan is a so-called SMB B-loan, for which the exporter provides a supplier’s credit. Export Credit Norway’s loan totals USD 2,677,500, and is fully guaranteed by GIEK. Eltek’s share in the form of the supplier’s credit amounts to USD 297,500.
