International meeting for Export Credit Agencies in Oslo

From 22-25 April, Eksfin, together with the Berne Union, will host a members’ meeting in Oslo. Berne Union Members collectively provide more than USD 2,5 trillion of payment risk protection to banks, exporters and investors annually. The main topic for the meeting in Oslo is Innovation. The geopolitical situation and the consequences for international trade will also be high on the agenda. The meeting will be attended by around 200 senior level representatives of BU Members, as well as key stakeholders from financial institutions and experts in trade, economic and geopolitical risk.

Engines of growth and innovation

Export Credit Agencies are engines of growth for their national economies, promoting exports and internationalisation, supporting economic growth, securing jobs and providing essential liquidity for small- and medium sized enterprises.

Export finance supports the scale-up of new innovation and technology and export credit agencies can and do play an essential role in supporting climate and energy transition both of their national economies and of individual exporting companies.

International cooperation more important than ever

The Berne Union is the world’s largest trade association for export credit agencies and credit insurers, private and public. The Berne Union’s members finance a significant share of world trade and constitute an important network for Eksfin in its work to promote Norwegian exports.
